Iceland’s Iconic Sites by Helicopter

Landmarks Helicopter tour: Aerial Views with Geothermal Bath

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with our helicopter tour of Iceland’s iconic landmarks. Your journey begins at Þingvellir National Park, a site steeped in history and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll see the location of Iceland’s first democratic parliament, the Althingi, which was established in 930 AD. From the helicopter, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the park’s geological wonders, including the Silfra rift and the Almannagjá fissure.

Next,

we’ll soar over the Geysir Geothermal Area, where you can witness the incredible power of the Earth’s geothermal energy. While the Great Geysir was once known for shooting boiling water up to 70 meters in the air, today it’s Strokkur that takes center stage, erupting to heights of 20-30 feet. Marvel at the vibrant, contrasting pools that decorate this geothermal landscape.

Our journey continues to the stunning Landmannalaugar Geothermal Area, nestled in the Highlands of Iceland.  Weather permitting, we’ll land here to soak in the area’s natural beauty, characterized by vibrant reds, greens, and yellows. For hiking enthusiasts, the Laugavegur trail offers unique landscapes and picturesque views.

From there, we’ll head to Þórsmörk, a breathtaking nature reserve surrounded by mountains, glaciers, and rivers. The views of the Þórsmörk valley from the helicopter are simply incredible, offering a glimpse into the wild beauty of Iceland’s landscapes.

Our adventure then takes us to the famous Eyjafjallajökull Glacier Volcano, known for its stunning scenery and its eruption in 2010. Landing here is dependent on weather conditions, but it’s a unique opportunity to explore Iceland’s geological wonders amidst glaciers and ice caps while learning about the country’s volcanic history.

Finally, we’ll conclude our tour with a visit to Gullfoss Waterfall, cascading dramatically in two stages into a deep canyon, providing a breathtaking aerial view. We’ll wrap up at Háifoss Waterfall, a hidden gem that drops 122 meters into a gorge, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Exploring Iceland’s iconic landmarks by helicopter is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Join us for this remarkable journey!
